Because I accept commissions worldwide, and due to the fact animals do not have the ability to pose as human subjects do, I work from the client’s own photographs. Portraits are begun in the order the commission is received, so all the client needs to do to secure the next opening is remit the deposit via check or PayPal (coming soon). Your deposit also protects your investment at the total quoted at that time, avoiding any additional expense in the event of an increase in fees.
Following is the process to order and receive your heirloom portrait which will be enjoyed by generations of family members.
Determine the size and the medium in which you want your portrait painted.
Submit a one-third deposit along with your photograph(s).
You will receive two copies of the Commission Agreement by mail. Sign and return one to me and retain one for your files. Work on your portrait will then begin at the next available opening.
Upon your approval of the composition and drawing, send the next one-third installment.
The final one-third payment plus shipping and sales tax (for Texas residents only) is due upon completion and prior to delivery of your portrait.
If the portrait is being purchased as a gift and you do not have the photographs, I will provide a Gift Certificate for you to present to the recipient. I can then make arrangements directly with them to paint the portrait according to their wishes. These certificates are also very convenient and much appreciated when the special occasion is just around the corner and a portrait cannot be completed in time.
